Chocolate Peppermint Glazed Doughnuts
Ingredients
For the doughnuts:
- 2 cups cake flour, sifted
- ¾ cups granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoons ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ¾ cups buttermilk
- 2 entire eggs
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
For the glaze:
- ¼ cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- ½ teaspoons peppermint extract
- 1 tablespoon corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon hot water
Instruction
For the doughnuts:
Preheat oven to 425 f. Spray a
doughnut pan with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, sift
collectively cake flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg and salt. Add buttermilk,
eggs and butter. Beat till just mixed. Fill each doughnut cup approximately 2/3
complete.
Bake inside the preheated oven
for 7 to 9 mins or till the pinnacle of the doughnuts spring back while
touched. Eliminate them from the oven and allow them to cool inside the pan for
4 to 5 minutes before getting rid of them from the pan. Finish doughnuts with
chocolate peppermint glaze.
For the chocolate peppermint
glaze:
In a saucepan, upload chocolate
chips, butter, peppermint extract, and corn syrup. Positioned the saucepan over
medium heat, and stir regularly until all ingredients are included. Upload warm
water and stir until glaze is clean. Add extra warm water if glaze is just too
thick. Glaze doughnuts right away.
