Gingerbread French Toast
Make your family gingerbread french toast with cinnamon honey sauce! A excellent breakfast-in-bed or brunch recipe with a touch of christmas.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 60 milliliters milk
- 60 milliliters heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon mixed spices (ground cinnamon, big name anise, ginger)
- 50 grams unsalted butter
- 12 slices (1-inch thick) french baguette, 1 to 2 days vintage
For the cinnamon honey sauce:
- 50 grams unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Five tablespoons honey
- 30 milliliters freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 50 milliliters heavy cream
Manual
In a mixing bowl or an oven dish, whisk eggs, milk, cream and spices until nicely blended.
Soften butter in a frying pan. Dip every bread slice within the batter and add to the pan. Prepare dinner until golden, about 1–2 minutes. Turn each bread slice over and prepare dinner for another 1–2 minutes or until golden.
For the cinnamon honey sauce or dip, honestly melt butter in a sauce pan and upload cinnamon, honey and lemon juice. Stir till nicely mixed. Slowly pour in cream at the same time as stirring continuously. Slowly carry to a boil and stir for every other minute.
Pour over the toast or dip each french toast in and experience!
